Re: the transfer portal, it appears that Coach P, in her short time here, has done a relatively good job of retaining her players while some other programs have had revolving doors. That said, with NIL and the ease of transferring these days, all programs are likely to lose players to the portal.
 

Gophers have done a good job of filling the hole left by Mal's transfer. It's not easy to replace almost 9 rebounds per game and the hustle plays that went with it, but the Gophers have done a good job on the boards , with just about everybody pitching in, especially Battle. And, if Woodson wasn't injured, Gophers would be even better.
 

The Taylor Woodson injury was unfortunate. Mainly for her and a valuable contibutor to an NCAA tournament run.

If others return next season the team could be even stronger next season. Unfortunately, Sophie Hart and Amaya Battle plus others are out of eligibility.

I can't remember who; but, I thought someone said coach P wants to hit the portal for an experienced guard and a BIG. I would think we could potentially get a good BIG with a possible starting spot on the line.
