Regularly beat Wisconsin and Iowa. Be competitive in all the other Big 10 games. Don't regularly lose to teams you should beat. Have a diverse offense and the talent that supports it. Send players to successful NFL careers, which helps draw other talent. Doing all these things simultaneously builds credibility and momentum and interest in the state. It also starts to draw interest from beyond our borders. It makes Row the Boat mean something.

Yep - I can tell you at the time I was coaching at a small 1A school. The U of M recruiter was the WR coach I believe and was the only college scout to come through our building that year.
