Big Play;336172 Gopher season ticket holders who own them get first dibs[/QUOTE said:This is correct. The suite and loge-box holders have first right-of-refusal to their suite/loge for any event held at TCF Bank Stadium. The Vikings and UofM negotiated a per-ticket cost for Monday's game and the holders then had the option of purchasing the seats for their suite/loge box. The suites that were not retained by the original holders will be utilized by Viking suite owners. The Metrodome has twice as many suites as TCF so it is highly unlikely any will be unused on Monday.
I got a phone call from the U offering me the option to purchase Vikes tickets for Monday night. The prices was $500 a ticket for my box. I didn't get much time to decide but I knew I wasn't going already.
It's going to be interesting because obviously there are fewer suites at TCF but there are quite a few loge boxes. I would imagine that's where the Vikes will make up for the shortage of suites.
And if you've ever been to a suite at the Dome you know how much they suck. Feels like being in a big closet.
