Luke Fickell is in how much trouble?

Injury bug and an offense in transition. I think singing their demise is premature.

I mean we were technically an offense and defense in transition and year two of fleck was an improvement. Year two of fickell was another regression to the point where a coordinator was fired and it didn't produce results, unlike when we fired Smith and the defense rebounded. Fickell has not produced anything their fans can look forward to at this point, and you need to produce results quickly in this new era

10th in scoring defense in the country. Doesn't sound pretty weak to me.

They gave up over 5 yards a play on the season. That's only happened twice since Parker took over at DC and not since 2014. Easily their worst defense in a decade.

It’s going to be tough for Fuckell (as he is commonly called on the Wisconsin boards) to survive beyond next season without obvious improvement.

Agreed. Fickell has at least a couple more seasons. OSU's next game could be a massive one for Day's future.

Since Ohio State is my 1a after my Gophers, and I have family and my daughter there right now, I stated back in the original thread on his hiring that he was terrible choice based on what I witnessed in his one year as head coach at maybe the best job in the country. He stunk. If you can't do better than .500 at that school, sorry, you're trash.

I knew he would fail, questioned how the hell you're going to go from a run dominant offense, really a juggernaut on the ground, to an air raid offense in that environment???? And the mastermind behind all those defenses during the Chryst tenure was headed somewhere else because he got looked past for God knows what reason. Anyway, he is toast. They'll be worse next year, mark it down.
