That's really just two sides of the same coin. The pre-nup endeavors to divide the property--whatever you keep, she doesn't get and vice versa.
 

LSU is a clown show. They made two buyout offers to Kelly that were well below his buyout $'s. It is all in writing, as are Kelly's responses that repeated letters that document the firing. Now they claim he wasn't fired?

Good luck at trying to hire any big time coach when you obviously want to screw the coach on the his contract. They also want to hire the next guy without a buyout clause? What a joke.

LSU is the next Nebraska. A program that thinks they are much more meaningful than they actually are....

There is to much talent down there for them to sink as low and long as Nebraska.

And you’re almost certainly going to be fired if you don’t have them competing for a national championship.

People will accept a lot for that type of pay day. Also, the dysfunction probably isn’t unique to LSU.

I can't see any successful HC wanting to take over this program or Arkansas. Both seem like complete s**t shows.
 

Say what you want but I(if I am the A.D.-which I was for 25 years) I would hire Kelly in a second. No one has a better recruiting network (including coordinators) than he does.
 



I really laugh at the Governor getting involved. I am only half kidding when I say I wouldn't be surprised if he created a new state agency: The Department of Football.

The reason they insist on a parachute of any color is precisely due to the situation Kelly finds himself in. There a ton of variables (LSU and the rest of the SEC probably have a few more than most) that can lead to a mess like this one. Of course, Kelly came from a pressure cooker so as outrageous as this is, he had to know it was a possibility.

I think a better approach might be to make the buy-out the same amount for the school and the coach, or a pretty high percentage of what the school would pay the coach. If the coach is owed 80% of the remaining contract, the coach would need to pay 50% of that to leave take another HC position.

Yeah Kelly is a prick but a damn good coach. Were PJ to leave town I’d take him here in a heartbeat.
