according to WCCO and mike max to have the story on it later today

From all the stupid threads, to your door. Absolutely ludicrous.

Well Dr. Lou was missing from the Arizona/Arizona State telecast last night. Whats going on ?????????????????????????????????????????

I heard this on the way home... Vascellaro was chatting with Tafoya about it, teasing it for tonight's news. Basically the story was that Holtz wanted one more go-around and would then set things up for his son Skip to come in and take the reigns in a few years.

It's a good thing Frank was talking to Tafoya and not Sid. The old dude would've have to strap on a third pair of Depends as I doubt he'd be able to control his excitement.

I think it might actually kill Sid. The only thing better would be if Bobby Knight had gotten the BB job.

Anyway, there's 0% chance of this actually happening, so I find it amusing. But if they were serious...yikes.

Southern Comfort and Grain Belt Premium on the Menu Tonight

What if Lou Holtz is the guy Maturi had no idea would be interested, and the deep south is USF featuring one Skip Holtz.

Honestly if there is legitimacy to this most recent rumor, my relapse is imminent.

This would be the only way I wouldn't be completely ticked off about not getting Leach. They need people excited about this program and they aren't going to do that with any of the clowns they've mentioned of late.

If they pass on Leach due to his background, and bring Lou in to be King God Football I will be upset as well.

That was the same plan Holtzie had for South Carolina. Then they started to lose. Lou dumped some assistants to keep his job and he demoted Skip from from Offensive Coordinator. Then Lou committed all kinds of violations and had the wonderful brawl with Clemson to end his career.

The image of Lou wading into his miscreants trying to get them listen will remain one of the best "going away presents" ever.

That's how Lou deserves to be remembered.

I am with you on this. Lou left Minnesota, Notre Dame and South Carolina on probation in his wake, No way the U brings him on.

Mike Max also mentioned Miami interest from Childress with Brew as an assistant.

Did I just wake up from a long dream about the future that included strange things called the Internet, iPads and iPhones? Is it really still 1984?

Maxie is an idiot

Mike "I show up for Gopher BB games just before half and then report as if I was there the entire game" Max is a complete dolt of a sports reporter. I wouldn't give credence to anything he reports on as he simply regurgitates what others have told him.
