looks like K Hawthorne to be a Gopher!

I've studied up a little on Wedley Estime as it seemed at one time Kansas had a great shot at him. He is a prep school kid that is very good, but in a unique situation. He "DOESN'T" start! The kid in front of him is one of the top 5-10 prep school kids in the whole country and I believe is committed to Clemson. Estime none less plays a lot and is extremely talented and has a high ceiling.

Call it a blessing if you want, but if he was starting, he would be in the ACC or SEC easily. This late in the game, Estime is big time!

Haha, btw punters can be studs.... Shane Lechler from Texas A&M and Reggie Robbie from Iowa fell into that catagory. They changed games with their foot!

I can't imagine Orseske not figuring out what went wrong last year. The kid looked awesome in his first two games before going down with mono.

Were you in attendance for the first two games? i believe totally maybe 6 punts total? your saying he was awesome after two games and six punts roughly?? im going to say he maybe hit two spirals in his first two games. The first game was in a dome where punters should bomb the ball. Second game was a night game with no wind at all. You dont understand punters and kickers and keep your comments to offense and defense or coaches.

Orseske will be just fine. The drops on the long punts are fine but the PLUMB DROP is a challenge for any punter. I've never seen a plumb-drop until Brew showed up. Punting is like a golf swing. Don't screw with it if its working.

Kucek and Hauden never knew the new punt brew brought to the team and found a way to get it done.

"People in glass houses..."

I do understand punters and kickers, as I was one. The wrong coaching can destroy a kicker in both technique and in mind.

Orseske will be fine. He has an above-average leg and great extension. He needs to work on his drop and learn to block out distractions. Those both can be coached. They will redshirt Peter Mortell unless Dan has a total melt-down.

Our special teams coaching was the "atrocious" in this equation. Let's see how the Spring game pans out before we burn Orseske at the stake and spread his ashes in the Mississippi.
