Rodney Smith & Jeff Jones.

What is your nickname for that combo?
 

I think Williams has laid claim to the starting position the way he has come on towards the second half of this year in his limited opportunities. I don't know if Conb had a stomachache yesterday or what but I think we probably would've been better served giving Williams the ball 15 times.

The only one to prove he can consistently play at the college level is Roderick Williams. The rest have seen limited time or have zero game time. Let's not act like Jeff Jones is the only one that's unproven. Edwards, Smith and Jones all have great potential and that's what has fans excited.

Neither has Smith. I get your point (and agree with it), but not sure why you signaled out Jones.
 

I've got it.....

The guy lined up behind/next to the quarterback.
 




At the end of the day we are going to have great talent and depth at the running back position regardless so it's exciting as heck.
 


Williams hasn't stayed out of the doghouse for a full year yet. Jones is the most talented back we've had in a while so I hope he takes the reigns.

No kidding, why didn't he get the ball more. I've heard that he might have been in a coach's doghouse. I'm all for discipline, but unless what he has done is pretty bad let's not lose a game to make a point. Now if he can't pass block or something like that he probably should not play much. But my untrained eye says that he runs with the ball pretty damn well.

I love Nugget. Word has been it is his (lack of) pass blocking that has kept him on the bench. Personally I would love to see him get more carries.
