Longest Active Droughts Without an NFL 1st Round Pick (Power 4) - Nebraska, 13 years!!

Michael Penix Jr did play @ Indiana and was a 1st round pick, but I suppose he doesnt count since he was a Husky when drafted.

There is no reason to pass up the opportunity to laugh at Nebraska

Apologies in advance. It's hard to find a gif that isn't Morgan Freeman.

That is actually a really interesting byproduct of the transfer portal era. The team that is going to get credit for the draft pick will be the final school but there will be lots of players that spent the majority of their college career somewhere else.

This will be especially true on the basketball side where picking a new team every year is becoming the new normal with guys playing at 4-5 schools during their college career.

Good point. Brosmer did most of his development elsewhere, then played here one season and showed the NFL he can play.

I'm sure New Hampshire would love to say they have a QB in the NFL (assuming he gets drafted).

Heck the number one pick in the draft Cam Ward spent 2 seasons with Incarnate Word, 2 with Washington State and just 1 with Miami. Yet Miami is the team that he will be associated with.

Well without Bateman, we'd only be ahead of SMU and Indiana, so I'm not sure I'd do too much laughing at Nebraska on this.
I would!!

A fairly recent National Championship team (3 in the last 31 years) and arguably a Helmet School as well!!

Chortle at Will!!
