The reason they won't get a severe penalty is that the NCAA has all but been dissolved from being the governing body of collegiate athletics. They are like Roger Goodell. None of their rulings have any weight anymore, their power and policies are losing substance and their biggest assets are running on opposite directions. Prepare for a wrist slap.

whatever you think makes sense and is logical, just think the very opposite of that and you'll be correct. i learned this a while ago. if things are left up to the folks in power, and if we continue to allow corrupt people to run things in this country, fair and just outcomes will never be in vogue. I say we just put the banner back up. If these guys get off lightly without vacating anything, and after that "wrist slap" the U of Miami got, I don't see how we should continue to vacate anything.

I've always thought vacating games is a ridiculous way to deal with things. Blank spots in media guides? No winner in a game that was played? Stupid.
