Legendary Vikings coach and swear word aficionado Jerry Burns passes away

A lot of people feel that Burns was the real creator of the "west coast offense," with the dump-off passes to the RB that Chuck Foreman was so good with. Bill Walsh got all the credit for the west coach offense with the 49'ers, but the Vikes were using a lot of the same principles with Burns as the OC in the late 60's and early 70's - years before Walsh got the 49'ers job.

Skol Burnsie!!
It is just hilarious, that this rant was after a Vikings victory. I think it was Sansevere that asked midway through "Did you win this game?!?"

Reusse got that last question in about the Schnelker endorsement that lead to Burnsie's final salvo and walk-off.

The Denny Green/Cardinals (Crown their ass!) & Jim Mora/Colts (Playoffs?) are all timers, but those were after losses. Burnsie's, to fire that one off after a win, bravo.

About six or seven years ago a friend and I got paired up with Burnsie and his daughter on the golf course. He couldn't have been a nicer guy. She was really nice as well. He had lots of stories--some he told two or three times, unfortunately.
