Maybe they emptied the bench for the last minute or so, with guys they weren't worried about redshirting. Or maybe they use more guys on special teams units.
 

It's nice that true Freshmen can play up to four games and still preserve their redshirts. They get an early taste of playing. If they go lights out, PJ Fleck will have a tough time preserving their redshirts.

He puts the best product out on the field to win.

When we get to game 5, the “burned” crew will be apoplectic.
 

Justin Walley needs to play, he is already one of our best athletes on the field. Even if it means moving one of the other corners to Safety. I would move Terrel Smith he is the corner with the quickness and size to be a safety.

Also keeps guys from getting gassed. Of course OSU might just be trying to keep all their five stars and high four stars engaged and away from the transfer portal!

It only makes sense for speedy DBs to move to Corner.

PJ Fleck needs to look for more speedy Cornerbacks and Safeties in recruiting or in the portal.

I can't imagine the Gophers winning the Big Ten West without a good Defense. In the veritable words of Bear Bryant, "Defense win championships."

Unfortunately we have a few guys in defense (two) who looked to be way overmatched.
