It is great that Lindsay Whalen is recruiting MN players, compared to the previous coaches lack of interest in MN players.
It would have been nice to have Taylor Koenen (North Carolina), Abi Scheid (Northwestern), Kiara Russell and Jamie Ruden, (Arizona State), and Hanna Crymble (Vermont) on the Gophers roster. Some of these players have been 4 year starters on very good teams. There is a lot of talent in MN high school basketball.
I know we have to recruit out of state players, but it is a lot more fun to see some local players play for the Gophers!
