KSTP: TCF Bank Security Guard Fired after Roughing Up Fans

Joel Maturi liked the move? Maybe they should reconsider.

Kidding.

Alright, step one complete. Step two: give him a scholarship.

Step two- Post this spineless d bag's name and let's ask him to step outside and play with someone who won't be blindsided by cheap shots on smaller college kids.

It would have been great if someone would have done that to him after the game when he was doing it to everyone else and lay his ass out.

Lets be honest, that *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!# has no authority and is merely crowd control much like Kevin Bacon's character in Animal House.

I've worked many security jobs over the years, guys like this are very common, but most aren't as stupid as this one was.
I also know people who have worked at TCF, the are strictly forbidden from any contact unless it's an emergency, or in defense, they are merely for show down there on the field. The cops on the other hand are the muscle.

Pretty obvious this guy wanted to feel big, you can even see him try to hold back his arms so he could claim that the students "ran into him", the worst part about security guys like this is working WITH them, because you are going to be constantly reigning them in while simultaneously dealing with whatever situation you are dealing with.
We called them "Farvas" from the movie Super Troopers. Glad he's fired, glad his coworkers did the proper thing and surrounded the goalposts and helped people stay safe.

It is funny to see how many youtube videos this d-bag appears on. They all start out the same... people filming the joy of the students joining the team on the field. You then hear some background voice say "look at that crazy security guy", the videos then turn to that guy in time to see the last couple unsuspecting kids get layed out by his shoulder.

I'm sure we have all seen it... people taking stadium security jobs to make a buck but then getting carried away with their "authority."

It reminded me of a terrible experience I had at the last home Twins game of the season a few years back. Still in the dome. They had some fan appreciation calendar they had given out and the majority of fans were ripping them up and making paper airplanes out of them. My wife and I had gone to the game with our next door neighbors. My neighbor is an accountant and he is the poster child for his profession. The most mild mannered dude you will EVER meet. I've never seen him go past his one beer maximum at any social event. The wives had gone to the bathroom and the airplanes were raining down from all directions. It was between innings and we were just sitting there. We were sitting mid way down the first deck in the left field seats. Suddenly an airplane from way up in the second deck slammed through my neighbor's ear and stuck him right in his crotch. He wasn't hurt at all but it really startled him. He must have jumped five inches off his seat. It startled me too. He had this airplane stuck in his crotch and he just instinctively grabbed it and whisked it aside. It landed three seats to his left (all five or more seats to his left were empty). He didn't throw it as much as he was brushing it out of his lap.

About 20 seconds later I hear this yelling to see a middle aged security guy... red faced with veins popping out of his neck, screaming at my neighbor. He ejected him for throwing an airplane! The wives were still at the bathroom, I was beside myself, and my neighbor was being escorted out of the metrodome. I asked to talk to a supervisor and that guy was just smug and said he has to go with his staff.

I couldn't help but think of that red-faced "authority" when I saw video of this doofus knocking over kids at the Bank.

Chip Diller would have drawn his weapon and Doug Niedermeyer would have pursued the fans on horseback!

Glad they fired this D-bag. I darn near ran out on the field so I could take him out. I kept waiting for someone to attack him.

Oh, the "I have an ounce of authority and I'm going to use all of it" *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#bag. Somebody should press charges.

This is the first firing associated with Gopher sports in the last decade that doesn't result in us paying a buyout clause.

here is a youtube video that shows some of what this idiotic, scum-bag, P.O.S. did to some of the poor kids and other people coming onto the field. look for it around the 20-second mark on the lower right hand side of the screen.

you can see that one poor kid get up and stare him down for a while like "WTF dude?!?!". man, what a prick!

Unfortunately this guy didn't get trampled like Chip did at the end of the movie. I hope they use these videos to thrown a few assault charges at this p.o.s.

Trust me we saw this guy up in the pressbox. CSC command called down immediately and put the kabash on this guy. No doubt he was fired after the game in my mind.. could have been an iowa fan because lots of folks are bussed up from iowa to work the games for CSC.

So Iowa's the new source for migrant workers? I hope they're checked for green cards.
