Kristen Hoskins in the portal

Not surprising. It seems like these “lightening in a bottle” guys never pan out here.

I kind of saw this one coming, he just couldn’t crack that WR rotation, best of luck to him.

Unfortunate as a MN kid. It appears he couldn’t grasp the offense or simply didn’t have the ability to find his way on the field.

The problem is for a guy his size to excel at this level they have to be a special talent like a Rondale Moore was for Purdue.

Hoskins was listed at 5'9" but that was probably being really generous. Just tough for guys that size to excel at WR in the Big Ten. It does happen but it takes a special talent.

That and our WR's often run block.

Harold Howell III rejects this.

Was really excited for Hoskins' speed and potential but just never seemed to happen for him here...

Interesting case with a lot of the Alexandria guys that come here in Football and b-ball. Treyton Thompson never really contributed before transferring, Groves is RS'ing which isn't the most positive sign, and now Hoskins is gone. WIll be interesting if Daniel Jackson can buck the trend!

Hoskins might be a good in a more pass oriented offense (probably below P4 schools) that values WR speed and shiftiness, and doexpect downfield blocking on 60% of plays.
Gotta be the right fit/system for some players who have specific physical limitations.

Coyotes play on ABC Saturday. They have two or three guys just like Hoskins that they use in certain spots and have gone for a lot of big, explosive plays this year. Probably the perfect ti type fit for this kid. I agree with what some others have said here it’s almost gotta be his lack of ability to block much that has kept him off the field. We’ve had so few explosive plays the last two years otherwise I think we would’ve seen him more just to try to turn that around some.
