Reminds me of several smaller Brew recruits, whose speed was trumpeted:
Tray Herndon, David Pittman, Kevin Whaley, Victor Keise and IIRC, they weren’t major contributors.
I still remember tiny Kevin Whaley, fast and quick, getting lite up and bouncing back three yards, and realizing them dudes were much bigger than the HSers in Virginia he dominated.
The piece de resistance was a Kill recruit, Berkeley Edwards, who despite being a MI legacy (Braelon was his big bro) and winning the 100 in HS, never received a Wolverine offer, which dumbfounded me and others on a different recruiting platform. IIRC, the few times he got the ball on the field, he was the very definition of a north/south runner and was easily mauled after a few yards.
