Per Greder:

“We have big plans for him...When you have somebody like that, that is such a good athlete, you want to get him on the field as much as you can — offense, defense, special teams. And throughout his career, he is going to do it all.”

Go Gophers!!

I watched the game on TV, and missed this. I had no idea he lined up on offense for a play.

We saw it from our seats. It was right after the interception and I hoped Brosmer would pass it to him but he must have been covered properly so Brosmer looked the other way.

Lindsey going to have to change his number next year. Or Koi.

They would probably have Koi switch numbers when on offense.

There's already a system for this, if you ever hear "Player #X is now wearing #Y" it's because a player is switching numbers to be in the field. I believe it happens mostly during special teams plays, but I remember UCLA having a player switch numbers a few times during our game.

#31 has become the number for Gopher safeties in the NFL. We don't currently have a #31 on our roster. Koi should switch to that next year.

That said, if he sticks with #3 and offense is going to become a common thing for him my guess is that Drake will switch numbers in the off season because they are not going to want to have Koi constantly switching jerseys during the game. I know there are guys that switch at times during the games but my guess is those guys are not regulars on offense or defense and probably more part time players. But could be wrong on that.

Yes typically for special teams. He could but I don’t see him constantly changing numbers. I’d say one changes this offseason.

Great choice in trophy selection.
