Did I hear this correctly, did someone actually email Kill and call him a "freak" because he has epilepsy? Wow.
 




This has really been an ugly show. Kill sounds very upset and Grimm is uncomfortable with the tone of this show.

Disagree. Grimm and Rosen seem fine. Jerry is fine too. He is confident in his health and what he is doing from a scheduling standpoint. He is clearly frustrated with some critcism this week and is taking this opportunity to outline his plan and agenda and blow off some steam.
 

My word, this program needs a win on Saturday in the worst way. Things feel about as negative right now as they did during the end of the Brewcrew era.

I like that Coach to that clown to task because his comeback is an example of "No More Minnesota Nice." I wish Coach would have ended that reply to that clown by saying....."You Son of a Bitch!"
 

I heard him say we need to play as many home games as possible when talking about reasons for the UNC cancellation. With this home and home against NMSU, won't we have the same amount of home games over the next two years?

Not in the least bit and putting all this pressure on the team to win in Madison where visitors rarely win is ridiculous. If this were next week at home against Purdue I would say we need that win. In fact I say it this week.

I like Kill - but not sure I got his explanation on KFAN for dropping NC. According to him it's part of his "Plan". NC is not that big of a threat on the road to be that worried about a for sure loss.
 

Missed the first few minutes and the "freak" e-mail stuff. Will have to go back and listen to that after work. I thought Jerry did a terrible job addressing the schedule change. He fumbled over his words and sounded weak answering the legit questions posed by Grimm and Rosen. This whole situation has turned into a PR nightmare and made the program a punch line for a lot of jokes on KFAN and AM1500.
 

Kill killed his support. This was a stupid move. Sends a really poor message to everyone. Be prepared to catch some serious crap from badgers in Madison about it. I've already got some grief from the guys I'm meeting for the game.

No, a PR nightmare is Clem's cheating, or players raping someone. This is an unpopular decision that some whine bags just cant seem to get over. If I donated a dollar to the U for everyone of your and beavers and lakes piss and moan this is the end of the world posts it probably would have come close to covering the cost.

Seriously. In another couple weeks it will be forgotten for the most part. Some people are behaving is if this is a fatal blow to the program. No one is cancelling their season tickets over this or giving up on the program. It's fodder for ridicule on local talk radio and that's about it.
 

It's not a nightmare but it won't help the program's perception among the average fans out there.

The program has been a punch line for the KFAN and 1500 types for longer than I can remember. They take their shots at the program win or lose, irregardless of whether they deserve the shots. I couldn't care less what they have to say about the situation.

This is by no means as serious as the above, but this is indeed a PR nightmare.

I would argue that the average fan probably doesn't even know about this issue. I tailgate and sit with two good friends that I would say are "average fans". I bet I could send them an e-mail right now asking what they think about the whole UNC situations and they would reply with question marks.

Don't let the reaction of people that post on a fan forum or call in to a sports radio show taint your perception of what the "average fan" thinks.

These people generally still read the newspaper and listen to the radio. There are big sports fans out there that are average Gopher fans. They may not think it's as big of a deal as some of the die-hards but many will probably make note of it.
