I think the likely culprit is he missed a couple of FGs in Game 1, including a game winner, and his confidence is now low.

Probably in your late 50s or 60s. Yes I am. Pete Gogolak and Jan Stenerud were a couple of the early "sidewinders". Back in the day when Jerry Kramer and Fred Cox were the straight on kickers in their prime.
