Kenni Burns

Mo might be youngest HC in football.

He had been dragged to court for unpaid credit card debt in December and a poster put something about gambling. I really hope that is not the case.
I'm also really curious- 24k in CC debt isn't a huge deal when you make 550k annually.

You have to be pretty stupid to allow that to come to light...

I agree with your statement, but if he makes 550k a year and can't pay off 24k in CC debt than that would be a much larger issue.

Sounds like he could benefit from Dave Ramsey's baby steps.

If what Bob heard is true, Kenni needs to get a handle on that before talking to any financial advisor.

A few things:

- his actual debt is likely much higher than the 24k.
- Have heard rumors for awhile that his debt is also connected to gambling, and his gambling problem reached a point where he was asking fellow coaches to help him out.

There are also rumblings out there that his betting might have included his own games that he coached. If you watched Kent State this year there was some very suspicious play calling and strategy.

According to Burns’ termination letter, which The Athletic obtained on Monday, the coach violated university policies concerning purchasing card expenses, conflict of interest and code of conduct in addition to Ohio’s ethics laws, along with “dishonesty in the performance of the (job) duties.” The school also claimed his act brought the school into “public disrepute, embarrassment, contempt, scandal or ridicule.” The specifics of those violations were not revealed. The letter was signed by school president Todd Diacon.

Sketchy, financial stuff will do you in. Easy to prove and little room for interpretation.
