I've met lots of people from Kansas that have a moderate to heavy southern drawl/accent. The closer you get to Oklahoma, the more you encounter it.

Love it!! When I watch Iowa mess up, I’ll sometimes turn to Mrs. Spermophilus and say in my best Foghorn Leghorn voice: “I say, I say . . . Now that thayahs a Chicken Hawk!”

Yep. More prevalent close to Mizzou as well. Especially K.C. and south.

As have I, and they do have a slight drawl, what former WCCO news anchor Pat Miles called the Missouri Mouse. Kill sounded like he was from Deep in the Heart of Texas.

It’s far more likely that he won’t. It’s far more likely that he’ll last <4 years and maybe see 1 10-win season (which LSU fans won’t go for).

SEC country is a whole different animal. Being in Auburn Alabama was quite the experience. Not what I expected. It is just like every other college town with lots of Tiger and Roll Tide signs everywhere. Lots of dirty looks towards us driving through but my friends from Atlanta have Georgia Bulldog license plates. Lots of bitter rivalries.
