Let me get this straight. According to Klondike, the opinion of any member of the Gopher football roster is crap because they decided to attend the U of M under the recruitment of Brewster? Interesting take. I am a Gopher football fan. I am also behind every kid on the team that is dedicated to winning. Coach Kill is now our coach, so I am behind him as well. If players are saying they like what they are hearing from the new coach, I will take that as a good thing. Quit being so damn negative because we didnt get Leach. We have our new coach now, lets try and get behind him.

Unless you're suiting up to play for the UofM instead of a bitter old man living in Winona, it really doesn't matter what you say.

It begins with the players and recruits buying in and is solidified with results on the field. That's the part Brew couldn't get done.
 


The players seem to like their first impression of Coach Kill.

That's the most important thing.
 




It's positive the players, at least some of the higher profile guys, are on board with this guy. Let's be honest, he has more authority than Brewster ever did simply cause he's done this ish before, he knows how to coach winning teams. That garners him instant respect. If he works hard here, he'll have this current squad winning football games, and that's all they care about. My concerns with Kill lie more in the future, with respect to recruiting. But for this core group, if they buy into him and he works hard for them, it'll work out alright.
 

Talked to a couple players this AM. They really like this guy! They think he is honest and will be fair with everyone in giving them a chance to be successful. A lot of the guys did not buy into Brewster at all. That was always the problem and why he failed...he was the sleazy car salesmen and that is how a lot of the players looked at him.

I was down on the Kill hire, but I really think he will do wonders for the program. Shame on Maturi buying into Brewster and his what do you want to hear ways. I think Kill is going to work for the players and thus see success.
