This thread is starting to remind me of when I worked in a lumber yard with 15+ guys and the occasional grrl would walk through. Grrls always got good customer service.

Sorry, didn't mean to cause a distraction!

We also get treated like we're dumb at places like that, and in places like this when it comes to sports talk. I may be a girl but I can also break down different defensive fronts, I know how to attack a Tampa 2 defense, I can recognize what most defenses are doing pre-snap and can tell you where a play broke down on replay.

Give me a pre-snap printout and I'll show you the flaws in a defense, where the gaps are and what set the offense and defense are in.

But no, I'll just sit over here and paint my nails or whatev.

Do you have any experience with above average temperatures. I think we might lose our current meteorologist in a few days?

Steering the conversation back to football. Not to be a Debbie Downer because I really like the alignment Katz is reporting. But wasn't it Katz and the four letter network that reported every D-1 school except Notre Dame was joining the Big Ten to create the world's largest super conference? Well at least that's what it seemed like at the time.

I just don't want to get my hopes up to find out at 6:00 that we are actually being put in a division with OSU and PSU.
 

There is some irony in that we are trusting ESPN after they showed not much of a clue during the expansion process. :(.
 



I get nervous when it comes to them. They have a LONG history of just throwing stuff against the wall and hoping it sticks. I truly hope it is correct because I really do like the divisions, but I will be walking on eggshells until I see it confirmed on BTN tonight.

My comment was totally directed at us guys' reaction to women, certainly not as a negative comment toward you. Apologies if that came across as different.
 

I don't trust ESPN, they're as low as it gets, but I like the idea of Nebraska every year. The only way to get better is to compete against the best.

??? It didn;t help us in '83 to play Nebraska. I think that you get better with better (or at least competent) coaches and better players. I do think that its more exciting to play top tier teams than the Northern Illinois' of the world though.
 


They've been cleaning our clock for nearly half a century and are way ahead of us now. Playing Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin and Michigan every year is a murderer's row. Nebraska has a terrific fan base and they travel. While Omaha is pretty sophisticated (nearly a million in the metro), Husker fans will enjoy the shopping and restaurant perks in the Twin Cities.

I hear ya sister!! I also hate Nebraska. Are you a heavy drinker by chance.
 

With the amount of attention this post is getting (i'm at fault too), I wonder how many more new "female" posters are going to pop up.
