Kansas has received an unprecedented $300 million gift from donor David Booth, believed to be among largest single gifts in history of college sports

That is a lot of NIL. It seems an awful lot of good could have been accomplished with that money rather than buying future bragging rights. Kansas, ugh.

I don't think technically any of that money can be used to pay NIL. The article states $75 million will go to the construction project, and the remaining will support KU athletics. I took that as the funds would help bolster the athletic department's budget.

However, if there is a program that can figure out how to siphon illegitimate funds to players, I'd bet on Kansas.

Couldn't you make that argument with just about any luxury purchase? Why buy a $15 million home on Lake Minnetonka when you can buy a really nice $2 million home and give the rest to St. Jude? I know there are people who do that and they should be commended. However, I don't see how large athletic donations are any different than expensive homes, vacations, cars, etc.

Ha ha, Kansas probably has a department that sits around and brainstorms how to siphon funds, just in Case they get a large donations.
