Justin Walley playing with injured knee.

Really just depends how much is torn. I'm assuming he has a grade 1 tear which sucks but is usually manageable. Knee is still pretty stable but just can be painful.

Technically a sprain is a partial tear. So he's playing on a sprained knee...

I personally attribute a big part of Autman-Bell's injury history was due to his toughness and second efforts to make the play. Hopefully Walley can keep this under control.

Great point. I think it would be hard though because in his case, it might mean giving up a big gain/ a TD.

I sincerely doubt our medical staff would let him play if playing was going to cause irreparable damage (i.e. cause problems in the future) to his knee.
Yep. He missed two games and we have had a bye week as well. He wouldn't be playing if they thought he could seriously injure the knee by playing.

Yeah and PJ has made it clear that the medical staff makes their call and that's the law. He's not really even involved in those calls.

Crippled Walley is still damn good.
With the fake weapons charge he got in a game, maybe he's Crip walkin.

Fleck has traditionally been one of the most tight lipped coaches I have seen when it comes to injuries and injury news. I'm really surprised he uncorked that much info on Walley's knee status. I heard him say it live as I was listening to the radio and nearly drove off the road.

Is Walley in the draft this year?

He was a true freshman in 2021 and played the whole season so assuming we are back to the 5 years to play 4 then this is it for him.

Will be interesting to see how high he gets drafted.

Heard that yesterday too. You certainly can't tell the way he's been playing. Walley is a soldier.
