Justin Walley officially announces he'll enter NFL Draft

Good for him and thanks for a great 4 years. Played his ass off and was a reliable mainstay at CB every weekend. Being the #1 CB as a 4 year starter is impressive no matter what school. Just like Daniel Jackson, I think he'll go down as one of the lesser appreciated and "quiet greats" of this Gopher era.

Walley was the best CB in the B1G this year. Put up your dukes if you think I'm wrong. During his four years there were a couple of times he got burned (deep throw at NW last year was one of them), but he was truly a shutdown cornerback.

Game 1 2021 was vs tOSU. Ohio state has Chris Olave and Garret Wilson as primary receivers.

First game as starting DB and Olave and Wilson are waving at Stroud at QB pointing out that they are on a freshman DB. Walley did an amazing job in his first game. They rarely threw at him.

As I saw that early in the game I spent time just watching Walley, and from that time, I watched Walley as often as possible, and he rarely disappointed. For 4 years.

He may be the best CB in the past 30+ years.

T Time also had a pick in that game, at a point I thought we would win the game. I was walking up the side of section 145 where a lot of the parents sit, but the play was about to start so I squatted for the play, saw the play and jumped up like every other fan and started to look for people to high 5, and the first guy I look to says “that’s my son”. I’ll never forget the look of joy in his face. Live sports just hit different.

Congrats to Justin Walley, another U of M DB U alumni. No doubt he will be drafted to the league.

And then Mo went down. I think we would have beaten them since Mo had been just ripping them.

Didn't we lose a safety too during that game? If I remember that also seemed to change the flow of the game.
