You know what's hilarious?
Brewster has said from day 1, he's not satisfied with mediocrity either. He wants rose bowls and big ten titles and has not said a word otherwise since he was hired.
You should be the biggest Brewster backer of all if this is your battle cry. Mason WAS satisfied with mediocrity. Brewster is not.
Building a successful program takes time, it's clear that Brewster has cleaned house on almost every aspect of this program, except the players he has to work with. He even redecorated the damn Bierman complex.
What everyone is trying to explain to you is that as his players filter into starting roles and depth roles, we can finally judge whether or not the program has a chance to become better than mediocre. If we still lose alot of games year 4,5 then he should be replaced. Until then, he stays.
One more thing.
Tony Dungy is never coming here to coach football. Period. He's just not. Every time his name is brought up I shudder, because it just adds fuel to the stupid fire for people outside the dedicated fanbase. Someone who watches one or two games a year hears Dungy's name and immediately thinks " Oh yeah, he should coach here, not "fill in blank of any coach now until Dungy is 100".
Patience is required, whether or not you can handle that is up to you, personally I'm in it for the long haul.
