The July 20 recruiting BBQ is this Sunday and will have lots of recruits for both 2015 and 2016. Attached is a list from 247 sports for some of the attendees.

Some of the 2015 recruits include:

1. John Kelly back again [rescheduled for August] with his teammate and friend Junior McMullen
2. Jonathan Femi-Cole
3. Almonzo Brown, one of our top WR targets from Georgia [driving up from Georgia]
4. Quinn Oseland, OT from Illinois that has a huge offer list

2016 recruits include Seth Green and JoJo Garcia from East Ridge, plus Carter Coughlin from Eden Prairie.
 


Dang Galt, I thought you were inviting all of us for a BBQ at your place this weekend.

Actually, Almonzo Brown is no longer coming. His family was the victim of a credit card scheme so he'll be visiting the following weekend.
 


This is shaping up to be a huge recruiting event. I could see multiple players committing.

It would be nice to see the program get some momentum going in recruiting heading into the season. Then when the team performs above the expectations again we will see the growth in that area as well.
 

Thomas Barber, the youngest who is supposed to be the best in the family, is attending the junior elite camp the day before.
 



Hopefully the guys who are already committed recruit the others hard and we can pick up several players
 

Scratch Kelly, he is rescheduling for August
 

Femi-Cole is likely to commit over the weekend.

I would be more upset however he has said that he wants the whole process to play out and may possibly wait until signing day so he was unlikely to commit this weekend.
 


Kind of sucks Carlberg chose this weekend of all weekends to visit other schools. Definitely not getting the best vibe from him.

He also probably doesn't get complete say about when the visits happen. I'm guessing this weekend just works out well for his family to take the trip East.
 

Let's get two to three commits this weekend!

I'd take Quinn Oseland any day along with Carlberg. We need to keep big bodied OL stocked up each recruiting year.
 



My guesses would be Femi-Cole and Jaylen Waters.

The premier Minnesota recruiting event of the summer happens this weekend: the annual Kill Recruiting BBQ. More than any other activity, sans camps, the BBQ is the staff's chance to bring talented prospects on campus to hang out with coaches, eat some pork butt and spend time with other targets. Many other Power5 schools have similar events (Michigan and Auburn's Big Cat Weekend come to mind) and the one's that don't, well, I'd say get on that but I'm competitive and hate everyone else.
