This. Judd may not be a prick in his private life, but he plays one in his public life. If you don't want people to think you are a prick, a good start would be to not be one in public.

I'd say Nebraska & Wisconsin are a better yardstick to show who we are. It seems like OSU is just a Juggernaut right now. But I don't see a clear "best" team, between the U, wisky & the huskers. The last 2 weeks will be far more telling than this Saturday. Now if we win... well, then all bets are off. (And we REALLY kick ourselves over the Illinois loss).

It's like you are reading my mind. One thing to add..Let's say for instance that the Gophers win the West or at least finish close to the top. The critics will say "Sure they won, but they did it in an era when the Big Ten was down." They will seek to water down any accomplishment. They ignore the fact that whatever winds are causing the Big Ten to be relatively down (slower population growth in North, etc) are also challenges to Minnesota. If Minnesota handles those things better than their peers they deserve credit.

First he writes only for a reaction. Now, is the time for Kill's team to show something? Let's recap where was he when Coach Kill ran off 4 Big 10 games in a row last year to reach .500 in the Big 10? Did that show him anything? And now Coach Kill and the team hold wins over Nebraska, Michigan, and Iowa. They are undefeated at home, we are tied for the lead in the Western Division. Just how much does he need to see to see that they are showing everyone something. Something fans support. And just what will he write if the Gophers beat TSOU? Well, now we will see if this team can finish? He is a third rate talent, spitting into the wind. No wonder it's hitting him in the face.
 

The more appropriate headline and premise would be "Win Versus Ohio State Would Put the Gophers and Jerry Kill on the Map". Realistically the Gophers need to be level with Nebraska and avoid blowouts with Ohio State and Wisconsin.

It seems the intent of the article was either win or you suck. Back up Judd all you want gl - his intent is clear.

And his intent does not consider how far the program has come in 4 years. Nor does he seem to care. Intentional, I think.
