Great news. Welcome to the Twin Cities!

I like the idea of Ekpe, Elmore then Webber and Kafo as the 2016 two's a lot better than Kafo and Dellatiboudere as the two's. Just think Winston is a bit undersized right now and needs a few years.

2 or 3 years left?

I like that we added a JUCO DE, it spreads the class out a little and that's a solid offer list for a JUCO who hasn't played his final JUCO season yet. Lots of JUCO guys see their big rush of offers after their last season.

He's going to enroll in January so my guess is he will have two years left. Also saw this little tidbit on him:

Great news! Welcome aboard! It looks like his hudl videos are now private, but when they weren't, they were damn impressive.

He'll be playing there again this year won't he?

STrib article:

The 6-4, 250-pound Webber is a three-star recruit who also had reported offers from Arizona State, Kansas, Iowa State, Kansas, Texas State and Cincinnati. He graduated from Yoe High School in Cameron, Texas.

Webber is Minnesota's 12th commitment for the 2016 class and the first defensive end. That's a position of need with current defensive ends Theiren Cockran and Alex Keith entering their senior season.

Go Gophers!!

Webber has 3 years to play 2.

His highlights are unbelievable and the staff is really high on him. He has a great chance to start next year.

He has a great chance to start next year.

I really hope he does as that would mean that he performed very well, but I'd be surprised if he jumps both Elmore and Ekpe for a starting job in 2016.

what highlights are those? So far nobody in the media seems to have seen them

per FSN:

“I feel like, out of my offers, Minnesota was the best fit for me,” Webber said on why he chose the Gophers. When I took my visit, I didn’t have anything negative to say about Minnesota. It’s a great school and they have a great coaching staff, not to mention the great environment around campus and also the players.”

Pass rushing defensive ends are alway at a premium in football so Jerry Kill will be happy with this news.
