Josh Martin transferring to Cal Poly

Hard to read that the articles says he didn't get much playing time, he just got here and left with four to five games coming up where he probably would have received a ton of playing time prior to the big ten opener. Instant gratification generation.

Playing time is earned Josh. The skeptics who rated him as a 2 star recruit I guess were correct. In fairness, if he was willing, he should have red shirted, but he likely didn't see it that way. As they say, all the best Josh; I hope you made the right decision.

Guess he wanted to play glorified HS ball.

Go Gophers!!

Well if he had to go there...probably not a big time player

Full story was he wanted to be more of a wing/stretch 4 and he wanted to play more. His family agreed and once they decided he wouldn't be out on TE wing they decided he should transfer

Nice city to play in. He upgraded in the weather dept. big time. Wish he had stuck it out.

don't stretch 4s have to be a three point threat? the only threat he was from deep was to the backboard itself. cheap shot aside, if a coach is going to recruit a project, he need's to make sure the kid knows he is a project. Imagine if Frank Kaminsky would have transferred based on his freshman year playing time. Averaged 7.7 minutes per game for the season, down to 6.3 in the NCAA tourney, with a season high of 14.
