Dear UM fans, please do not laugh at our qb.
UofM fans.
You mean one of the few areas of the team that actually played well on Saturday?

NCAA passing yards allowed
6. Michigan
127. Nebraska (dead last)
Michigan is second in the nation in rush defense. Why not say something about not laughing at our OL then? It's just funny how some continue to single out Leidner all the time when this team has a lot of issues besides the QB.
Cut ML7 a break. He played well yesterday. It won't be his last good game. Yeah, there will be some clunkers too. Enjoy them when you can.

I think you know this GophersInIowa, but sadly, most fans watch the quarterback on every play; it's one of the few things they can actually claim to understand. If our fanbase (and other fanbases for that matter) was required to get a certification in line blocking theory, route running basics, defensive schemes and other nuances of actual Big Boy football, we'd see very little discussion about Leidner on this site. Some, sure... but not to this level.Michigan is second in the nation in rush defense. Why not say something about not laughing at our OL then? If he had a 65% or higher pass completion rating, and if his overthrows, by 15+ yards, and throwing to empty spots on the field had lessened since game 1, I might consider cutting him some slack. Neither has happened yet. Michigan can play a pure true zone DB coverage scheme and not worry about completions at all. In fact, they may pick up 3 or 4 INT by just having DB stay in their coverage zone waiting for the empty spot throw.
If the injury situation doesn't improve (and we therefore field the same team we did on Saturday), I see about a 38-6 win for Mich. I know it's now looking unlikely, but if a few key players return at full strength (3 or 4 of BBC, Travis, Rogers, Poock, Campion, Bobek), I think it could be in the neighborhood of the TCU score.
If you think the Michigan football program is cursed, please leave now. You have no idea what cursed is.You know what's funny? On a Michigan forum last night we were discussing how we all thought we were cursed as well.
There were like 10 other points we had on that list as well, but I will stop there because I don't want to kill my current Sunday vibe...
- Appalachian State - blocked field goal for major upset loss
- Toledo - 2 Kickoff returns for a touchdown for a major upset loss
- Colorado - 60 yard hail-mary for upset loss

I think the Gopher Captains should just bring the Little Brown Jug out for the coin toss and hand it over to the Michigan Captains. Why? Leidner can't throw or run, the O Line can't open holes or pass block, the D Line gets no backfield penetration, the DBs don't turn to look for the ball when covering a receiver and we don't know who is going to end up injured during the game. Anyone feeling optimistic after this? Not me.
Unfortunately for us, if there was ever a time when Ruddock plays his best game and hits those open receivers down field rather than over/under throwing them, it will be on Halloween. Why? Because we're cursed.
