Only heard of him cuz barreiro brings him up constantly. Yesterday was classic Dan, commenting on how it is important for teams to move on from the past. How those moments do not exist……..Brewster chili drop goes here. Tampa bay Tampa bay.

I remember the line about why Kapp's passes were so easy to catch:

You can catch them at either end.

a unique character. as a college QB, led Cal to the Rose Bowl. led the BC Lions to the CFL Grey Cup title. Only played 3 season with the Vikings, due in part to a contract dispute.

Kapp left the Vikes for the Boston Patriots and played 1 season, but eventually retired as a protest over NFL rules on player options and contracts. Kapp sued the NFL over anti-trust violations, which led to the NFL actually adopting some rules changes.

He acted in small roles in a number of TV shows and movies, including the original version of "The Longest Yard" and "The Six-Million Dollar Man."

Kapp is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame and the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.

Kapp made it into the Melancholy Happy Trails segment on PTI today along with Denny Crum.

Respect.
