This guy kicks ass. I was looking for someone to listen to on the way home from work since I stopped listening to that dumbsh*t Barrero. It's cool to listen to someone who's happy and seems excited about Minnesota Sports instead of being depressed and pining for Chicago.
 

I always liked Joe and noticed last week while stuck in traffic that he now had his own show. I've been skipping the am radio for the past couple of months (esp. during Danny B.'s time slot) but I think I'll start tuning in to 1500 for his show.
 


Hmmmmm.....Joe Anderson used to be Barreiro's sidekick and he bashed the Gophers as much as anyone when he was on KFAN. It must be a schtick just like Dan B.

No doubt he did - he was harsher than most of them on the Gophs. He is pretty funny though...
 


I don't mind Joe, but if you are looking for happy gopher hour, you're not going to find it there. He's definitely a change of pace from Dan though.
 

Joe seems much happier with his new gig. He no longer has to be Barreiro's yes man and he is doing well. I listen to his show almost every night. He actually looks at sports intelligently rather than the boorish ramblings of Barreiro.
 

I thought the guy that Matt Thomas started out pretty good and I really enjoyed listening to him. He sounded more like a fan rather than the KFAN drivel. I will give Joe a try.
 

Joe sucks big time.

Tried listening a couple times. He's terrible. Should stay out of the radio bizz.

For me, I don't really care if the radio personalities are opinionated. I don't mind to hear someone bash the Gophers, I tune into the talk radio as a simulation to talking sports with my buddies (going back and forth debating topics and whatever).

I don't like Danny B, but I honestly don't care what he says. I simply turn the channel. However, my reasons for not like High Fi is because he is in constant quest of being the realist mixed with cynicism that he ends up saying some of the most moronic statements simply to rock the boat. I just remember him ripping on KG (as not being elite because he couldn't win the big one), well Danny it took him all over 9 months to win one after left MN. He ripped on Mauer for a lack of power before last season. I mean who could rip on a 24 (at the time) yr old catcher with two batting titles? Aren't there better avenues for his skepticism?

But like I said, you will never see come on here and go nuts about Dan B because I simply change the station, however, that is why he isn't one of my favorites.
 

I've been listening to Joe since he started on KSTP and it's really the only local sports show I will listen to anymore. No doubt that he felt some pressure to fall in line with barrerrio's garbage when he was the sidekick. He has good guests, I thougth did a good job at Twinsfest, and had Doogie on to talk Gopher sports and they we're very few cheap shots taken at the U which is something you never get at KFan.
