In the MIAC it is about 98-2. Nobody (nobody I can think of, anyway) is there because they "just want to play ball." Not many transfers from higher divisions either. And that is from a conference that has had two teams in the National Championship game over the past 10 years.
Well I didn't play hoops in college, but I did play baseball in the MIAC and you're right, almost all of the kids are there to get a degree. However, I can think of a few guys over my years in school that were there to play ball and didn't pay much attention to the future.
