Jerry Palms bowl predictions for 8/12

Wisconsin, Penn State, Nebraska, Michigan and Iowa all getting better bowls than us.

Have to remember that the B1G has some interesting bowl agreements / setup.

Nebraska was in California last year............so he puts them in Florida this year.
Minnesota and Iowa in Florida last year.........he places them in California.
Michigan's most recent bowl trip (Arizona in 2013)............he moves them East.
Penn State in New York......... and so on.

I view this current arrangement as good for our program vs what was done in the past. Some years we will be selected to what we consider to be better bowls and some years we will not.

If the bowl is in Cali, it better be the Rose or the Holiday. Any other game there would be unacceptable.

December 26th???? ICK! Foster Farms? Who the hell is that?

Otherwise.....awesome matchup. I was under the impression that UCLA was supposed to be REALLY good......top 15 good this year. This just doesn't make any sense.

Agreed.

A couple of nitpicks in Palm's predictions: he has Northwestern going to the Heart of Dallas Bowl, which is not even tied into the Big Ten this season (Armed Forces Bowl instead), while leaving two B1G bowls ahead of that slot empty (Pinstripe, Quick Lane), a scenario that cannot happen.

Also, I don't see the Gator Bowl as very eager to bring back Nebraska for a second time in three years and third time in eight years, especially since they brought very few fans last time. If Nebraska is on the table at that point, I'm guessing the Music City Bowl (which gets the choice to pick a B1G team this year) would jump at a chance to host the Huskers, and the Gator would take an ACC team.

If we stay healthy, execute.......we will be the there. Michigan, Iowa and Nebraska should finish below us and have lost to us.
