Jeez, I hope the fans come out in force Saturday.

If you went out side and stood by your chain link fence that would help even more.

Nope, too cold. Bone chilling 40's ya know. So I hire Cobber Girls to line up along my fence to help.

It was 40s for the Syracuse game and people showed up, then again that's when the mindset of the casual fans was sitting at the Rose Bowl extreme after 4 wins, now with the three straight losses we are the worst team ever in their eyes so yeah maybe 30k at the game.

I think it is expecting too much of fair weather Gopher fans to attend a late October afternoon game when the temperature is going to be a bone chilling 40 degrees or so, because they haven't put away the tank tops and dug out the ice fishing clothing yet.

Hey Don. I will be wearing my insulated Carhaarts, Sorels, choppers, my winter UA, and maybe even my fur lined Bomber Hat and feel like I am right at home next to Lake Gitcheegumee! Perfect!

Leave the fashion to the urbanites.

Why don't you just stay home? I am sorry about that but I just have a low tolerance for whiners. I have always been partial to people who have a positive attitude and actually do things to make things better. By staying home you might make things better for yourself.
Do you think going to the game and pretending like it is a good team enhances the performance of the team?
I will be at 9/12 games this year. I can make the decision on my own whether it is worth my time to stay. Thanks for that thought though.

No, they'll have more than that in the house. Though I'm sure they'll be people that say less than that. :)

Honestly, if the weather is clear and sunny, they'll be people in the stands. I'd even say that there's enough interest in Nelson alone to get it up past that in the stands.
You don't think there will be 15k no shows to a game in 40 degree temps? Maybe there will be at the start. If the game is ugly there will be less than 20k in the second half.

No, agree and no kidding!

Should have beat NW? At what point in that game did you think they were going to win?

What I meant by "should" is that nobody thought going into Madison and Iowa City that those "should" be wins, but Northwestern at home...we should have won that if we how we're capable. And other than the opening kickoff fiasco, it was a game.

As Mason said on KFAN tonight....this is the game they NEED in order get to a Bowl at (6-6). Fans need to show up for this one. With a 2:30 start students will not be sleeping in and should be there. 43 degrees, partly cloudy and no wind - good day for football.

Actually it does make a difference. Most people realize when the fans support their team it has a positive impact on how they play. For god sake, if you are that miserable stop going to the games or do you enjoy being that way?

I was at the Illinois game and I was also at the Iowa game two years ago. I've been trying to give away 4 extra tickets to the game on Saturday and cannot find any takers. People have better things to do than watch the lowly Gophers and this attitude continues to get worse with every Big Ten loss. Not my opinion, but the opinion of many. Throw in the UNC debacle and many fair weather fans or even sports fans in general have no desire to watch this team play, let alone in 40 degree weather. Sad but true.

Seriously, your negativity is amazing. Not only am I coming with my 4 season tickets, but will most likely be purchasing 3-4 more to join our tailgate party. So, if you can't find a home for your tickets...I'll gladly take them off your hands. It will be a glorious day for Football in a beautiful stadium!

Yeah, it's going to be damn cold. Maybe move this one to the Dome.

If you don't go to the game, there's not nearly as many people to say "I told you so" to if the Gophers start to struggle.

It's going to be an absolutely perfect day for football. Cool and Crisp with the sun out. I love being at the bank as the sun starts to set (not trying to get poetic but I did graduate from the school Bob Zimmerman attended).
I'm bring my kiddos and plan on cheering loud and standing quite a bit during the game (my section still has some folks that like to sit during most of the game...nice people though).
Very happy the Gophs are no longer in da Dome!

I'm gonna be visiting family and I will be making my first trip to TCF to see the boys play.

Me, like most other who are sane, do not have their enjoyment on the games based on wins and losses. If your enjoyment is, you picked the wrong team.

Wow! This coming from the guy who said he would probably leave at half-time if the Gophers didn't play well. All I can say is that you are a bigger phony than Souhan!

If you had paid attention to my comments I have always recommended that people should be patience with this team and coach Kill. Meanwhile they should just relax enjoy the journey. As far as I can tell, the only thing you seem to enjoy is being negative, complaining, whining and leaving early.

I did not say I'd probably leave the game.

You strike me as a really angry bitter person. I hope you don't end up harming yourself someday.
