Jaylen Bowden commits to Gophers!

Go Gophers!!

From the game logs it looks like this is a guy who only got to play in huge blowouts for a FCS program as a sophomore. I don't get it.

PJ didn't check the game logs? What a dope!
I guess we never know - sometimes few stats as a CB can be a sign of dominance. FCS stats can also be incompletely reported.

But he didn't win any all-conference honors, recorded no stats in their last couple games, and all his listed major-site stats were in their most lopsided games, indicating he's probably a 2nd teamer at a FCS school.

Between Tre'Von Jones and Ethan Robinson the last two years, I'm going to trust the staff to find a kid at a lower school that fits what they want to do.

I think it’s fair by you to point this out. Guessing the staff has some kind of connection with this kid and has seen him in workouts or something. Obviously the on field sample size seems too small to garner an offer.

6’2”. Can’t teach tall. But not heavy enough to play in B1G yet. Depth/development add, I suspect.

Are you looking at Freshman year with 4 tackles? Sophomore had 19 tackles a pick and 7 pass break ups. More concerned if the weight is correct after two years in college.

ESPN doesn’t have stats for all of his games. NCCU has more compete game logs. Not a lot of stats but that can be a good thing for a CB if they aren’t getting targeted a ton.

Any thing would be an improvement from Robinson.
Wtf are you talking about?!? Robinson was an amazing 1 year guy to pair with Walley.

Your other take was bitching about 1 year players, like the TE we picked up. Which is another asinine take.

You're getting into ignore user territory.

He's been there for some time now.

I don’t think the 155 pounds is accurate. I’ve seen him listed at 180 as well, and just looking at him I’d guess the 180 is more accurate. 6’2” 155 would be very noticeably thin. I’m guessing they see him contributing immediately if he started ten games for NCCU.

Yeah, hard to believe the 155 lbs was a current weight.

JJ has always posted nonsense but it's really gone to another level theast couple weeks.

How is he not in there already? Jack Jones and Barn Burner are two that will never leave my ignore list. Reading their BS is just a complete waste of time, much better to just catch it in small doses when you get curious enough to click the show ignored content button to remind yourself why you ignored them in the first place.

The good news is that they never cease to validate that your decision to ignore them was the correct one. :)

You read every post, Mnvcguy. Every single one.

He played in 10 games each of the last 2 seasons. 20 games of film for the coaches to evaluate. If you are good, teams typically don't throw the ball your way and stats may not reflect your value.
