Dribbles & Scribbles
-- Let's say conservatively St. Thomas finishes 12-4 in the Summit League. That would send UST to the Summit League Tournament with a 23-8 overall record. The Tommies would need two wins in Sioux Falls to surpass last season's Division I-era best 24 wins. Worth noting because the Toms have elevated their win total in each of their Division I seasons: 10 (2021-22), 19 (2022-23), 20 (2023-24), and 24 (2024-25).

-- Summit League leader North Dakota State's overall strength of schedule (SOS) ranks #356 of 365 DI teams. St. Thomas' overall SOS sits at #318. Denver currently has the toughest SOS among Summit League teams at #117.

-- Undefeated #1 Arizona's 86-83 escape at #12 BYU last night was a great way to start the week. Not sure I've seen a better all-around backcourt than the Wildcats' Jaden Bradley and Brayden Burries. That was just the beginning of this week's insane slate of stellar matchups. Tonight, we've got #5 and undefeated Nebraska @ #3 Michigan.

-- There are no head-to-head bubble matchups tonight, but we have a couple Bubblicious teams with an opportunity to put major bullet points on their NCAA Tournament resumes. #35 Indiana (0-6 vs. Quad 1 opponents) hosts rival/#10 Purdue, while #68 Mizzou visits #22 Alabama. Let's see if the Crimson Tide can go 0-2 with G-leaguer and student-athlete Charles Bediako on their roster.

-- Bubblicious teams on upset alert tonight? Let's go with Virginia Tech (-8.5) at home vs. Georgia Tech and New Mexico (-4.5) @ UNLV.

Deep Thoughts, by Buzz Studley
Louisville head coach Pat Kelsey has never won a NCAA Tournament game (Winthrop, College of Charleston, Louisville), and I don't think that's changing in March. The Cardinals look like a prime candidate to be upset in the first round.
