J.D. Pride moved to WR

Alipate should still be moved somewhere - if not this year, then next for sure. Next year, he will have Gray, Parish, and Shortell (if not Nelson, as well) in front of him on the depth chart, and his Sr. year he will still have some combination of Parish, Shortell, and Nelson in front of him. Since he will never be better than 3rd (or 4th) on the depth chart at QB, he should be willing to move somewhere for the betterment of the team and to at least contribute something, since his contributions at QB will be limited to holding a clipboard. I can see the logic in keeping him at QB this year, but next year? No, it doesn't make any sense.

Agreed, though honestly I'd move him this year. Last year our second string QB was a full time WR. Putting a third string guy in that situation should be fine. Unless he's truly more likely to play consistently at QB than TE or some other position (I don't see how), I would say move him now and give him a couple years in the new position.

I don't like the idea of anyone else being the third string guy. Gray goes down and Alipate is suddenly the second string guy. I really don't want our next off the bench to suddenly be Lueck and Shortell. Too many third string guys get thrown into a game due to some strange and unforseen events--injury, suspension, ejections, family issues, etc.

You have to have a solid top three, Shortell HAS to be redshirted. Even with Nelson coming early, he is going to sit out a year as well.

If Moses moves, it's next year.
