Ivy League postpones all Fall sports

That's sort of what I was saying just without the politics part. That if we are forced to stay inside for another 6 months and plan A(developing a vaccine) doesn't work, plan B will be Bankruptcy for a lot of industries.
I don't think anyone is suggesting total shutdowns. The only "industry" college football not playing might bankrupt is cable sports.
 

Shutting down sports has a huge impact on the economy and people, which is probably the biggest factor in how people vote ("It's the economy stupid" - James Carville). There is a clear divide, the Democratic Party wants to keep everything closed down, the Republican Party wants to open it up. And the good news is you get to vote on which approach you think is right.

If I take the money I won't be spending on Gopher football and buy a new couch & recliner wouldn't that be a net wash for the economy? Just looking to do my part and row the boat.
