It looks like Brosmer is coming in for the Vikings!

Ok, I was mistaken, believe it or not there have been a number of quarterbacks that played at the U who have thrown NFL passes, there are no good old days of Minnesota QBs though.
Spergeon Wynn 70-152-585 yards
Mike Hohensee 28-52-343 yards, replacement team in 1987
Chris Strevelor 27-40-231 yards
Cory Sauter 6-9-59 yards
Tony Dungy 3-8-43 yards
Max Brosmer 2-4-29 yards
Bill Garnaas listed as qb never threw a pass but played other positions.
That’s it from pro football Reference.
No wonder it’s so hard to remember. A couple weren’t even grads!

Did Sauter see any NFL action? Seems to me he did.
Sauter was (and still is) the high water mark for Gopher QB reps among guys who played QB for a meaningful period of time at the U and is listed as a Gopher alum

Streveler and Spergeon Wynn got their reps but it looks like Brosmer is on track to be the greatest NFL QB in Gopher history

Interesting that Wynn and Streveler transferred out of Minnesota down to FCS teams (at the time, now Texas State is FBS), while Brosmer transferred into Minnesota from FCS.

You can’t count Spergeon Wynn. He didn’t play QB at the U.

Though Bronko Nagurski was not a quarterback, he did throw 77 NFL passes, completing 32 for 474 yards and 7 touchdowns. At the time there was some grumbling that it somehow "wasn't fair" that someone who was not the quarterback would throw the occasional pass.

At this rate in Dublin, how long til Brosmer is in the game?

Wentz is SO slow and holds on to the ball way too long! JJ was open in multiple plays. Brosmer would’ve gotten the ball to all of those weapons!

Vikings will loose this game if they don’t put in Brosmer!

O-line isn't doing Wentz any favors......but Wentz is rattled and now threw a second pick. Put in Brosmer and let's see what he can do.

I almost would rather they leave Wentz in to get pounded rather than Max at this point…. What can anyone do back there?

Brosmer’s quick laser passes will make JJ & Addison happy.

Steelers DL won’t touch him. If they did, it’d be roughing calls left and right 👍
