Doesn't matter; I'd take a couple of the local high school coaches before another year of Hall of Fame Coach Orlando "Tubby" Smith!!! Dude was coasting the last 2-3 years

Who would ISU have got as a coach if fragile Freddy didn't fall into their lap? The UNI coach, if they were lucky?

Teague is playing whist for a shot of Jack and having fun, while the rest of us are playing poker for money and worrying. Norwood is no Dummy.

Agree, recruiting may take a bit of a hit short term but it hasn't been that great recently anyway, on court presence will be mutch better, not much to brag about the last three years with Tubby.
 

If Teague gets Williams, Marshall, or Enfield he has hit a homerun in this hire. Smart, Stevens, and even Hoiberg would have been Grand Slams. Flip would be the Minnesota way.

Enfield is a homerun hire? Good lord. I have no idea if he'll be good or not but our standards are dropping by the minute. I love how you tout Enfield's 20 years of coaching but not Flip's 30 years or why aren't you saying we should get the Grinnel guy. He's got 30 years of coaching and is a shooting expert too.
 

I believe Norwood Teague owes the state of Minnesota 2.5 million dollars if he can not find a coach in the next few days for not having a succession plan in place.

Are you kidding. He fired the previous coach four days ago and some of the Candidates are still in the tournament. Teague has a long list of candidates mainly because of their ties to the Villa 7 and basketball scene. They can wait. He likely has at least 10 guys he would consider and he is going to go through that list one by one. We will be in a better place once the hire is made, but people need to be patient and understand that teams with potential candidates are still playing. The guy at FGCU is not going to stay there after this run.

I do commend you for thinking about the children though.....it's been a few days since anyone has.
