Is Nate Wolters an NBA Player?

The idea he could not developed as a player here is more of an indictment on a crappy u of m program then a legit opinion about his development. Other then maybe Hollins, he is better then any guard the U of M had in 10 years - maybe longer.

Yes and no, he could have developed here we will never know, but he wouldn't have been used the same way here and at most would've accumulated half the minutes he did during his four years. To be honest, coming out of high school I woulod've rathered had Lockett

I guess I'm a sucker for these darkhorse white guys. I've always thought Garrett Callahan of Southwest State could have played here.

The Brain Trust is outing himself as minngg.

I remember when I was told that he wouldn't be able to start over Joe Coleman.

LMFAO.

Nate is averageing 10pts, almost 4 reb, and 6.5 assists. Stuggling with his shot as most rookies do with a 37% fg and 20% 3pt percentage. Also averaging just 1 turnover per game. Whether he should have been recruited, wether we missed, whether he would or would not have improved as much for the gophers are all good questions. But anyone who can get significant minutes in the NBA could have played for any college conference, end of story.

Had a chance to see Nate play for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of in the D-League this week in Michigan. Very smooth player. Seemed a step slower than the other guards though. No idea where his stock sits at the moment, but it was just kind of neat seeing him play after reading about him ad nauseum on this message board.

That's all.
