He is draft eligible three years after he graduates from high school. He isn't draft eligible after next year. This is an NFL rule so what happens between high school graduation and being draft eligible doesn't matter. Will he be draft eligible? If he's a true freshman, he will have to play at least two years after this year methinks
Edit: I see he enrolled at Oregon in Dec. of 24. Will that count as a year if he enrolled early?
Cal is the perfect place for him if he wants to be ready for the NFL (well.... Cal or Minnesota because ill take him as a transfer, even with Drake here). Top QB's from blue blood programs never get tested, or if they do its like once or twice a year. I always tend to bet on high draft picks from smaller programs because they're the entire team. Josh Allen is a perfect example, Joe Flacco another.I hope Cal can hang onto him. I really like the more distributed talent in college football now especially at QB. No more stacking five stars at the blue bloods. A few years ago he's rotting away on Oregon's bench. Of course, he's not beating us if he's rotting away on Oregon's bench so there's that...
Glad Iowa or Wisconsin didn't get him. How miserable would that have been? It would have been fun to see him on Wisconsin just for a game while they played Alabama. Wisconsin had no chance with their very underwhelming backup QB. I would loved to have seen him running around causing havoc making it a game! Cal plays no blue bloods this year so we won't get to see anything like this which is a shame.
