Is it crazy or genius to go for two with a late seven-point lead?


TC was quoted (on SId's show?) as saying there was a 60% chance of making it. The NCAA rate is more like 40%. I'd offer that at 60% it might have been the right call and at 40% perhaps not. Not sure where the 60% came from.

Read the article from the OP. The Gophers 2 pt conversion rate has been 65% since 2008.
 


I'd say go for 2 on the road if your trying to pull off the upset. At home, with a stout defense, kick the PAT and let the emotion push the defense to shut them down.
 


I wouldn't consider the difference between having a chance to lose and being unable to lose in regulation inconsequential.

Why is there a difference to you between losing in regulation and overtime? This isn't the NHL where you get a point for an OT loss. Get the two, can't lose. Don't get the two, can lose. Kick the PAT (not 100% certain), can lose.
