Solid article. And whether directly or indirectly, espn is 100% behind conference realignment. The idea of superconferences was largely and espn creation. The fact that money is driving everything and espn is the biggest buyer in the market means they drive change. The fact that they own Games in every major conference is big. I honestly would love to see the big ten leave espn entirely in the next contract. Go big ten network and sell the espn games to either NBC, CBS, or fox. Unlikely to happen.

Espn holds more power than anyone in conference realignment.
