This ia wrong on so many levels I don't know where to start......

And, in term of Johnson, if the "miss" we are talking about are local guys not offered who became studs, I think the answer is YES

Runner up in the recent local guys without Gopher scholarship offer might be Amani Hooker. Went to Iowa and became Big Ten DB of the Year in 2018.

I believe the Gophers were bringing him in to be a TE?
 

I can’t think of his name, but we lost an OL to Alabama that played sparingly and was still drafted to become an NFL starter. He could have had more fun starting here than riding the pine in Bama and maybe give us a few more wins.

JC Hausenhauer was not a starter at Alabama? Think he played more than sparingly.

2015: 7 games, 0 starts
2016: 9 games, 0 starts
2017: 9 games, 3 starts
