K Johnson has announced he is going to enter the NFL draft. Good news for the Gophers. Unless Iowa goes to the portal for a running back, their closet is empty.

I bet they'll land a high end transfer who's sitting on the bench for a helmet school, there's gotta be some appeal to be a back for Iowa considering their offensive philosophy and relative success in producing successful backs

Without a runner, they'll have no offense whatsoever.

Iowa defies logic...they just win.
Vs Nebraska:
Time of Possession: N 39 minutes Iowa 21
Yards: N 334. Iowa 164
Rushing Yards: N 144. Iowa 49
Turnovers: N 2. Iowa zero
First Downs: N 20 Iowa 5
Iowa wins 13 to 10
5 First Downs and doubled on time of possession, but they win.
6 and 3 in the Big Ten... 6 and 1 at home...lost to Iowa St 20 to 19 at home

Watched Iowa - Nebraska. Totally boring football game.

Iowa without Johnson seems like a below average team...maybe they have a good backup, who knows...

It’s Iowa, but I have respect Johnson as a very good football player. Think about how teams rightfully concentrated on him. Despite that, I always felt he’d rip off a 20-30, even “house”, run at any moment - and he did many times. That play that he gashed us on a couple of times, I actually predicted, and they successfully executed, against other teams I watched in the latter half of the year. That pass reception against Nebby was impressive (acknowledging the missed, or run-through tackles). Feel like he’ll be a very good pro now that the NFL has rediscovered the RB (see: Henry, Barkley, Jacobs, et al).

Iowa has some sort of black magic that causes teams to make a critical mistake super late in tied games. The turnover by Nebraska reminded me a bit of the turnover by Mo a few years back.
