I bet he had to bring in friends and family from out of state to get enough cash together for the "makin' it rain" segment of the video.
 

That was one of the most pathetic things I have ever seen. I love the downtown shot that has a 5 story building in it, and tries to show they are urban by standing on a bridge over a "freeway".

I like it when guys have fun following their teams. That said, watching the video makes me wonder how many malcontents on this board would be first to do something similar if the Gophs made it to a BCS bowl game.
 

Aside from the fact that it's about the Hawkeyes, that was one of the worst "raps" I've ever heard. (And I am actually a big fan of good rap music.)

My favorite part is that this "big baller" is "making it rain" with $50 and $20 dollar bills. Classic.

I think Gophers and Cyclones should each pick a side, grab onto part of that jacket worn by the "rapper" in the video, pull extra hard, and see if they can somehow get it buttoned.

I actually live in Cedar Rapids.(very hard being a die hard gopher fan down here) The boarded up houses and buildings are from the Flood of of '08. I love how they want it to look like the projects of Cedar Rapids!

The video IS sad and funny.

But when it comes to smack talk next year you should be reminded that you haven't scored a point versus iowa in two years. There really isn't a lot of wiggle room there.

Good luck in your bowl.......I hope Minnesota wins, and pegs a win up for the big ten. I just hope some big ten team can win a bowl game besides Iowa this year.

I couldn't get myself to listen to it again to try and figure it out. But what is the point of the $450?? and why is that black guy so white? I don't get it. And what's a Hoke eye?
 


When I saw this yesterday, I was going to make fun of it. Then I thought "I admired the guys passion and wish we had more fans who were invested enough in the program to take their time to do something like that".

The real test will be if Iowa fans continue to make videos and sell out the stadium when their team goes back to the bottom of the conference for a few years (or longer).

I have heard a lot of amateur raps that are terrabad. Mostly from my gaming community I am in. Nothing like nerds trying to rap :). I actually thought it was okay. In general he was mostly with the beat and he didn't try too hard on the words that rhymed.

Definitely agree though, don't quit your day job.

There was only one $50 I think, the one on the end. Isn't there a term for that? When you've got a $100 on the end and all singles in the rest. I think they call that a "Des Moines bankroll".
